You’ve probably heard the sayings about how it’s the auto mechanic’s car that needs repair, and the painter’s house that always need a coat of paint. No matter the industry, all professionals at some point are guilty of giving good advice, yet not practicing what they preach.
I’m proud to work with a group of professionals intent on following our own advice. I’ve recently accepted an opportunity to plan for my professional future by joining with Financial Advisor Kyle Cobia to form a team.
Here’s what this means for clients: You have the power of a team behind your accounts.
We work hard, but we understand the importance of work/life balance. If one of us is on vacation, out sick, or caring for an ailing loved one, we need to be able to prioritize our families. However, you need to get the help you need when you need it. Our team approach strives to ensure everyone’s needs are met.
Financial advisors stress to clients the importance of planning for the future, and succession planning is important. I intend to be your financial advisor for a very long time, but like you, I’m not aging in reverse. I want you to have professionals you’ve come to know and trust over the next couple of decades so that when I decide to retire and ride off into the sunset, you’re left in the capable hands of professionals you already have worked with for years.
Meet Your Team.
Kyle Cobia is our team lead who has been with Allen & Company since 2012. He is a University of Miami graduate who played football for the Hurricanes. When he’s not meeting with clients, you might hear him in his office knocking out blues licks on his guitar.
Nathan Boston handles trading and account operations for the team. He oversees day-to-day operations, monitors investments for performance, implements investment strategies, and guides new clients through our onboarding process. If you want to chat about gardening and cooking, he’s your guy.
Val Traviss is a Registered Client Service Associate who is highly experienced in life and long-term care insurance, and helps manage the team’s 401(k) and SIMPLE IRA plans. Valerie is an amazing nature photographer who loves dragonflies.
As you can see, I’m in awesome company.
If you haven’t concentrated much on planning for your financial future, I hope this post reminds you that there’s no time like the present to work on that. Having a plan in place can provide tremendous confidence.
