At an early age, my two younger sisters both proclaimed their goal to grow up and become registered nurses. Rachel now begins her fifth year as an RN, and Kyla her first. For me, my indecisiveness was probably the cause of a few gray hairs for my mom.
As a Parent
As my Sierra Lou grows (she turns one this month), I begin to understand further the strong desire parents have to perceive the hopes and dreams of their children; that is, the yearning to participate, to help guide the path, and to be their cheerleader. I think this passion is especially profound in the hearts of women.
As an Advisor
I get great joy out of getting to know my clients and their aspirations—not only because I love building relationships but because the things that are important to them are the foundation of their financial plans. I get the opportunity to join individuals, couples, and families in finding solutions that align their wealth with their wishes.
Without aspiration, a financial plan is just a general idea. Yes, I love the workings of compound interest and seeing a dollar turn into another by practicing patience, discipline, and wise investing, but when there is soul behind the action, it makes the effort worthwhile.
Saving and investing are sort of monotonous if there is no hope behind it.
I work in this field because I love to guide clients by utilizing opportunities with investments and tax savings. As a mother, I want nothing more than to see my daughter’s hopes and dreams fulfilled, and as a professional, I can say the same is true with my clients.
