How much money will I need to retire?
The average Social Security benefit as of August 2023 is $1,792.37
The amount of retirement assets that you need to save depends on your lifestyle and how much more you need each month to supplement your social security benefit.
It’s important to consider factors like your expected retirement age, current savings, and any additional sources of income or expenses to create a comprehensive retirement plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.
We offer financial planning services to all Saddle Creek associates, assisting them in assessing their progress toward their retirement objectives. This valuable resource empowers you to make informed financial decisions.
How do I start contributing?
Saddle Creek auto enrolls all of their associates that are over the age of 18 at 3% pre-tax in the quarter after they reach their 6 month anniversary.
How do I know if I should contribute Pre-tax or Roth?
Pre-tax allows you to potentially lower your current taxable income and the investments and the opportunity to grow tax deferred. You will pay taxes on your contributions and any earnings as ordinary income when you withdrawal the funds in retirement.
Roth allows you to pay the taxes now and any potential earnings grow tax deferred. As long as the account has been open for 5 years and you are over the age of 59 ½, any earnings will be tax free when you make a withdrawal in retirement.
